A legend Tankarvi Mr. Iqbalbhai Dhoriwala was invited by Baroness Uddin at House of Lords, London Parliament for World Charity and Finance Summit. In that summit, only 50 delegates were invited from USA, Germany, Japan, few other countries and some dignitaries from the UK. Mr. Dhoriwala had been asked to give a speech in that summit. 

Haji ismail Bhai Kajibu, father of Safraz and Mohshin Kajibu of village Tankaria, passed away in London. Inna Lillahe Wainna Ilayhe Rajeun. Sitting is at 34 Rutland RD, Ilford, London.

May Allah SWT grant him a place in Jannat ul Firdaus and Sabr-e-Jameel to his family. Ameen.

Dr Aquib Javed Patel (Gheegha), son of Mr Mubarak Ali Mahmed Gheegha (retired Indian Air Force officer), is a surgeon at the prestigious BJ Medical School, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. Dr Aquib has roots in Tankaria. The Gheegha family lived in Tankaria for a long time before migrating to Ahmedabad. They are also cousins to the Chamad family of Tankaria.

We are proud of Dr Aquib’s achievements. He will be an inspiration to a lot of youth in our community.

Adam Tankarvi.. who doesn’t know this name? Gujarati communities across the globe know him for his poets and writings. A great contributor to our literature.

For his outstanding contribution to Gujarati language and literature, last week Dr Adam Tankarvi was honoured by well known organization Gujarati Sahitya Academy of London at International Gujarati Conference in the city of London. We, Gujarati community, as a whole take pride for having such a talented writer of this language.

આજથી ૧૪૦૦ વર્ષ પહેલા કરબલાની તપતી જમીન પર મોહરર્મની ૧૦ મી તારીખે સત્ય કાજે અસત્ય સામે ભૂખ્યા અને તરસ્યા રહી સત્ય કાજે ઇસ્લામ ધર્મ ના સ્થાપક હઝરત મુહમ્મદ પયગંબર સલ્લલાહો અલય્હે વસલ્લમ ના દોહિત્ર હઝરત ઇમામ હુસૈન રહ. તથા તેમના સાથીઓ એ અસત્ય સામે શીશ ના ઝુકાવી પોતાના અમૂલ્ય પ્રાણોની આહુતિ આપી હતી. તેમની યાદ માં આજ રોજ ટંકારીઆ તથા પંથક માં મુસ્લિમ સમુદાય દ્વારા પરંપરાગત રીતે યવમે આશુરા ની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવી હતી.
ટંકારીઆ કસ્બામાં વિવિધ મસ્જિદોમાં મહોર્રમ માસના પ્રથમ ચાંદથીજ ઈશાની નમાજ બાદ કરબલાના શહીદોની શાનમાં બયાનના કાર્યક્રમો નું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આ દશ દિવસોમાં મૌલાના અબ્દુર્રઝાક અશરફી સાહેબે તથા મુફ્તી નૂર સઇદ સાહેબે કરબલાના શહીદોની શહીદી ગાથા પર પ્રકાશ પાડતા બયાનો કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. જેમાં મોટી સંખ્યા માં અકીદતમંદોએ ભાગ લઇ કરબલાના શહીદોની શહીદી ગાથા સાંભળી ફૈઝયાબ થયા હતા. અને આજે ૧૦ મહોર્રમ એટલેકે યવમે આશુરાના દિવસે જામામસ્જિદ અને મસ્જીદે મુસ્તુફાઈય્યાહ માં વહેલી સવારથી આશુરા ની વિશિષ્ટ નફિલ નમાજો નું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું અને ખતીબે સમગ્ર માનવજાત ની ભલાઈ અને વિશ્વમાં અમાનો શાંતિની દુઆઓ ગુજરી હતી. તથા ઠેર ઠેર શરબત ની શબીલો પણ યોજવામાં આવી હતી. આમ ટંકારીઆ તથા પંથકમાં મહોર્રમ પર્વની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવી હતી.

As we mentioned a week ago that there will be a program in Chicago by well-known “Adam Tankarvi” and other famous writers in Gujarati literature. We are excited to learn that wait is over and he program is scheduled for October 4th at 730 pm at Makki Educational Academy (MEA). Please find more details regarding program below.
