ગતરોજ બુધવારે તારીખ ૨૫ ઓક્ટોબર ૨૦૨૩ ના દિવસે બ્રિટનના હાઉસ ઓફ લોર્ડ્સમાં કવયિત્રી ભારતી પંકજના કાવ્ય સંગ્રહ ની લોકાર્પણ વિધિ લોર્ડ પ્રોફેસર ભીખુ પારેખના હસ્તે થઇ. ભારતી પંકજના ૧૦૦ ગુજરાતી કાવ્યોનું અંગ્રેજી રૂપાંતરણ ડો. અદમ ટંકારવીએ કર્યું હતું.
ભારતી પંકજના કાવ્યપઠન ઉપરાંત આ પ્રસંગે લોર્ડ ભીખુ પારેખ, લોર્ડ નવીન ધોળકિયા, પ્રોફેસર વર્નર મેન્સકી અને ડો. અદમ ટંકારવીએ ભારતીબેનની કવિતા તથા અનુવાદની સમસ્યાઓ અને મહત્વની ચર્ચાઓ કરી હતી.
પુસ્તક સંદર્ભે યોજાયેલ પરિસંવાદમાં બ્રિટિશ ગુજરાતી સમાજના અગ્રણીઓ, સાહિત્યકારો, સમાજ સેવકો ઉપરાંત વિવિધ ક્ષેત્રોના મહાનુભવો અને યુવા પેઢીએ પોતાના મંતવ્યો રજુ કરી રસપ્રદ ચર્ચા કરી હતી.
ગુજરાતી કાવ્યસંગ્રહના અંગ્રેજી રૂપાંતરણનું વિમોચન બ્રિટનના હાઉસ ઓફ લોર્ડ્સમાં થાય એ એક ઐતિહાસિક ઘટના છે.
આ નોંધપાત્ર પ્રસંગે ટંકારીઆ ગામના મૂળવતની ડો. અદમ ટંકારવી, ઇસ્માઇલભાઈ ખૂણાવાલા, બસીરભાઈ ખોડા તથા ઈમ્તિયાઝ પટેલ વરેડવી ઉર્ફે ટંકારવી ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. ઈમ્તિયાઝ પટેલ વરેડવી ઉર્ફે ટંકારવીએ સમગ્ર કાર્યક્રમનું એમની રસપ્રદ શૈલીમાં સંચાલન કર્યું હતું.
બ્રિટનની પાર્લામેન્ટ અને તેનું હાઉસ ઓફ લોર્ડ્સ એ વિશ્વના લોકશાહી દેશોનું કેન્દ્રસ્થાન ગણાય છે, એમાં આપણા ટંકારવીઓ ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા, આમંત્રિત રહ્યા અને ત્યાં એમના વક્તવ્યો યોજાયા એ આપણા બધા માટે ગર્વની વાત છે.

Yesterday, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, the launching ceremony of Poet Bharti Pankaj’s poetry collection was held in the House of Lords of Britain by Lord Professor Bhikhu Parekh. English translation of 100 Gujarati poems by Bharti Pankaj was done by Dr. Adam Tankarvi.

Besides Bharti Pankaj’s poetry reading, Lord Bhikhu Parekh, Lord Naveen Dholakia, Professor Werner Mensky and Dr. Adam Tankarvi discussed the problems and importance of Bhartiben’s poetry and translation.

In the seminar held regarding the book, leaders of the British Gujarati society, writers, social workers, eminent people from various fields and the young generation presented their views and had an interesting discussion.

The release of an English translation of a Gujarati anthology in the House of Lords of Britain is a historic event.

On this significant occasion  prestigious persons of  Tankaria village. Dr. Adam Tankarvi, Ismailbhai Khanuwala, Basirbhai Khoda and Imtiaz Patel Varedvi alias Tankarvi were present. Imtiaz Patel Varedvi alias Tankarvi conducted the entire program in his interesting style.

Parliament of Britain and its House of Lords is considered the center of democratic countries of the world, it is a matter of pride for all of us that our Tankarvis were present, invited and delivered their speeches there.

આમ તો નવરાત્રીનો તહેવાર ગુજરાતી સમુદાયનો સાંસ્કૃતિક પર્વ તરીકે ઉજવાઈ રહ્યો છે. આસો માસ ની પ્રથમ નવ દિવસ ની રઢિયાળી રાત્રી દરમ્યાન આપણા ગામના આદિવાસીઓ નવરાત્રીના પર્વમાં ગરબે રમે છે. જે સંદર્ભે ટંકારીઆ ગામના આદિવાસી ભાઈ બહેનો દ્વારા પણ ગરબાનો મહિમા સાર્થક કરી નવ દિવસ ગરબાઓ યોજવામા આવ્યા હતા. અને આ ગરબાનો પર્વ એકદમ શાંતિપૂર્વક પરિપૂર્ણ થયો હતો. નીચેની તસ્વીરોમાં આપણા ગામના આદિવાસી ભાઈ-બહેનો ગરબાની રમઝટ માણતા નજરે પડે છે.

Thus Navratri festival is being celebrated as a cultural festival of Gujarati community. During the night of the first nine days of the month of Aaso, the Adivasi people of our village play Garba in the festival of Navratri. In this regard, the Adivasi brothers and sisters of Tankaria village also celebrated the glory of Garba and organized Garba for nine days. And this Garba festival was accomplished quite peacefully.
