ઉત્તર ભારતમાં ઉપરવાસમાં તોફાની બરફ વર્ષા ને કારણે મેદાની ઇલાકાઓ જેવાકે સમગ્ર ગુજરાત માં કડકડતી ઠંડીનું મોજું ફરી વળ્યું છે. આ ઠંડી થી લોકો ઠુંઠવાઇ જવા પામ્યા છે. હવામાન વિભાગે હજુ આવનાર બે દિવસો માં કોલ્ડવેવ ની આગાહી કરવામાં આવી છે અને લોકોને કામ વિના બહાર નીકળવાનું ટાળવાના સૂચનો અપાયા છે. પોષ માસની ઠંડીની શરૂઆત થઇ ગઈ છે અને તાપમાન ૩ થી ૪ ડિગ્રી સેલ્સિયસ ગગડતા ટંકારીઆ સહીત પંથકમાં ગતરોજ રાત્રીના ન્યુનત્તમ પારો ૯ ડિગ્રી સેલ્સિયસ સુધી નોંધાતા લોકો ધ્રુજી ઉઠ્યા હતા. અને હવામાન ખાતા ના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર આગામી ૨ દિવસો સુધી આ કોલ્ડવેવ ચાલુ રહેશે અને ત્યાર બાદ ૩ થી ૪ ડિગ્રી તાપમાન માં વધારો થતા ઠંડીમાં રાહત અનુભવાશે.
આ કડકડતી ઠંડીના પગલે ટંકારીઆ ગામના મોટાભાગના લોકોએ રાત્રીના નીકળવાનું ટાળ્યું હતું અને નવયુવાન મિત્રોએ શેરીઓમાં તાપણાં કરી ઠંડીથી રાહત મેળવતા નજરે પડ્યા હતા. અને સવારે બજારમાં ઠંડી થી બચવા ગરમ વસ્ત્રો પરિધાન કર્યો હતો. દરેકના જીભે “આજે તો બો ઠંડી છે ” સંભળાતું હતું. અને તડકો માથે ચડતા લોકો તડકામાં બેસી ઠંડીથી રક્ષણ કરતા જોવા મળ્યા છે.
