પ્રથમવાર વિના વરસાદે ટંકારીઆ ગામનું તળાવ ઓવરફ્લો થયું

ઉપરવાસમાં ભારે વરસાદને પગલે ટંકારીઆ ગામમાં વરસાદ વગર ગામનું તળાવ ઓવરફ્લો થયું છે. ગતરોજ સાંજે મગરીબ બાદ તળાવ છલકાતા પાદરમાં પાણી ફરી વળ્યું હતું. જેના પગલે પાદરમાં નીચાણવાળા ભાગમાં દુકાનો ધરાવતા દુકાનદારોના જીવ ઊંચા થઇ ગયા હતા. ઉત્તર તરફના ગામોના ખેતરોના પાણી તથા એક્સપ્રેસ હાઈવેનું તથા બુલેટ ટ્રેનનું નિર્માણ આ પરિસ્થિતિ ઉભી કરી રહ્યું હોવાનું લોકોમાં ચર્ચાય છે, તેમજ ભૂખી ખાડી ઓવરફ્લો થતા આ પાણી આવ્યાનું અનુમાન પણ લગાવી શકાય છે. ટંકારિયાનું પાદર જાણે મોટી ખાડી બની ગઈ હોય તેમ અનુભૂતિ થાય છે. સદનસીબે આખી રાતમાં પાણીનો પ્રવાહ ઓછો થતા સવારથી પરિસ્થિતિ એકદમ નોર્મલ બની જવા પામી છે. નીચાણવાળા વિસ્તારના લોકોએ રાહતનો દમ લીધો છે.

Due to heavy rain upstream, the main village pond has overflown without significant rain in the Tankaria village. Last evening after Maghrib, the pond overflowed and the water began to accumulate in Padar. The water eventually started to flow in to lower shopping center area.  It was the topic of discussion amongst villagers that the water from the fields of the villages towards the north and the construction zones, such as express highway and the bullet train are two biggest contributors to this situation. There is also general perception that the water may have come from the overflowing Bhukhi khadi. Fortunately, the water started to recede thru the night and the situation was close to normal in the morning hours. The people living on the lower ground areas also breathed a sigh of relief.
