    Right.

    Good work by all Tankarvis.

  • Siraj Patel "Paguthanvi" on Sunday 18 January 2015

Very well organised event for the inauguration of the new High School building in Tankaria. Congratulations to all concerned.

At the moment, my wife and I are watching the Live Mushaira being aired from Tankaria and we believe that this must be the very first time in the history of the Bharuch District that a Live Gujarati Mushaira from Tankaria is being watched all over the world!

Salaams to all the poets participating including Janab Kadam Tankarvi who is one of the founder members of the Gujarati Writers Guild UK (established 1973) and who has organised more than 100 Mushairas in various towns and cities of the United Kingdom.

  • Abhali Munaf from Chicago, USA on Sunday 18 January 2015

The programme was very nice, but the organisers missed something. They did not tell us who started Tankaria High School and who struggled for the school in the past?

Alhamdulillah, great speech, dad (Ismail Patel - Chief Guest). Tankaria has grown so much. I remember going there every school vacation. At that time, it was a small village with electricity outages, no cars, dusty roads, etc, etc.

We, on behalf of MyTankaria visitors and all well wishers of our village from across the globe, congratulate our children – the future of our community – on the completion of the new high school building. Established in 1952 by our forefathers and helped by generous donors over a period of several decades, this building has helped realise the dreams of thousands of its students. It’s not just bricks and mortar that laid the foundation of this building but it’s the determination, care for the future and an immense love of our forefathers. The old building where many of us studied has given way to brand new, bigger and taller facilities. With beautiful religious, educational and residential structures that already décor our beautiful village, this building will certainly add colourful feather to it.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone, but we feel we should sincerely thank our teachers, current staff and those who are no longer with us. They worked tirelessly day in and day out. We also congratulate the management team and certain individuals who spent months of their life to realise this dream. They travelled thousands of miles in heat and cold, flew to several countries and countless cities and gave their all. And, finally, to all the donors from all parts of the world, regardless of their village affiliation, who wanted this to happen. It’s YOU who wanted this building to come to life, YOU wanted to secure the future of our generations to come, YOU wanted to see our community prosper in the next century. And, let us tell you,

“YOU did it!”

“Now … YOU … the future of Tankaria and our community – all our students – Dream Big! The future is yours … go get it!”
