RAMADHAN MUBARAK TO ALL from Administrator Team…

Alhamdulillah…Ramadhan is here…

We are so grateful to see this blessed month again. We pray for a productive and beneficial month in which to focus not on what we’re giving up, but on what we may gain with those distractions out of the way.

For all of those observing this month, we pray:

Oh Allah, guide us along with those whom You have guided; and grant us well-being along with those whom You have granted well-being; and protect us with those whom You have protected. Bless for us all that You have given us; and save us and keep away from us evil … To You, Oh Allah, all praise is due for what You have decreed, and to You, O Allah, is due all thanks for Your blessings and bounty. We seek forgiveness from (You) Allah, and we repent to You. … Oh Allah, accept our prayers, our fasting, our standing in worship, our bowing and our prostration. Oh Allah, make us among those who are freed from the Fire this Ramadan … Oh Allah, be compassionate with us, for You are the One who shows us mercy.

Something very interesting. Length of fasting in different parts of world. May Allah (SWT) give us strength and patience.

IPL has just finished and the Football world cup is around the corner but Cricket fever is here to stay for the summer. While our students at Tankaria High School are working really hard and getting results that makes our community proud, so too are our boys on the cricket field in every corner of the world. While Zuber Desai in Leicester is hitting sixes that brings tears to the opposing team and Sohail Gordhan in South Africa is winning “Best Batsman of the League”, Munaf Patel (Bachcha) provides punches that please the crowd. Recent matches show Munaf crossing the 50 mark easily with towering sixes when chasing or providing high score games. We wish all the players “Good Luck” for their upcoming matches and our students for a bright future and immense success. Keep us posted.

“Koi Mujko Lota Do, Bachpan Ka Voh Din … Woh Kagaz Ki Kashti, Woh Baarish Ka Paani”

This very famous Indian poem beautifully narrates the emotions of a child living inside an adult who is missing every moment he spent in his childhood. “Kagaz Ki Kashti” (paper boat) provided more fun and a lasting effect on his heart than the present day cars or gadgets. Here, we bring you some pictures of the Bus Stop and Railway Station in Bharuch. Many of us pass through these places during our visits to India, but next time when you go back, STOP and remember how all these places were part of your life in one or another way. They have gotten some cosmetic works done over years but memories attached will never. Time you spent time with friends and those moments will definitely”wet” your eyes.

Our youth is our strength and our tomorrow. Their ideas and teachings will shape our tomorrow. By the grace of the Almighty, our youth under the guidance of elders are walking on a noble path to help people in need and taking actions which speak louder than words.

Look at the pictures of “Samuh Lagna” (Group Wedding) organised by the Tankaria Youth at Kukermunda, district Tapi in Maharashtra. The programme not only covered the cost of the ceremony, but also provided the couples with household necessities. May Allah (SWT) bless this group of people for their noble intentions, effort and dedication, and give them more financial and emotional support to take this work further. Many congratulations and good wishes to the newly wed couples.

Many congratulations to Siddiq Faruk Suleman Khandhiya and his bride on their union at Reunion Island. The couple got married in a ceremony at this beautiful and extremely tiny island off the coast of continental Africa in the Indian ocean. Some wonderful moments captured from the ceremony are shared with all of us….

Playing their 3rd group match, Naaz XI of Chicago (USA) led by Mustaq Bhai Hira of Tankaria won the game comfortably thanks to an all-round performance by Riyaz Patel of Kamboli. Chasing 114 runs off 30 overs, Riyaz struck a superb 50 runs whilst earlier taking 5 wickets to destroy the batting line-up of the team, which at one stage stood 90/1 from 15 overs.

We also request teams from other countries participating in various tournaments on different levels to share their team / players’ pictures and performance.
