By the grace of Allah (SWT), Hafiz Aamir Polli, the son of one of our close friends and community member Harun Polli, has completed the memorization of the Holy Qur’an at the age of 16. Brother Aamir not only completed his Hifz of the Holy Qur’an, but also does home schooling. His success will in many ways benefit our community and inspire many others. We congratulate brother Aamir and his family and pray that Allah (SWT) gives him even more success and rewards him in this world and the hereafter.

Our Gujarati Muslim brothers have recently purchased a property in Bergen County, New Jersey and have converted it into a Muslim Community Center. This part of New Jersey, USA has a very tiny number of Muslims but, with the development of the center and their efforts, no doubt the community will flourish in coming decades. What they really need from all of us is help in any form we can. The center has been put in a huge financial debt, which requires generous donors like us. Please consider centers like this and many others, which not only just provide religious teachings, but shape better human beings and thus communities.

On the night of 3rd July, at 19:40, 15 males heavily stormed into Masjid Fazaane Bilaal in Fordsburg, South Africa. There weres over 300 people reading Taraweeh Salaah. Some of the musalees were assaulted. All were told to lay on the floor and then were robbed of their personal belongings, cellphones, wallets and other items. The Lillah and Zakaat collection boxes were also ripped off the wall. The ordeal lasted under 20 minutes. Allah saved them as there were no serious casualties, thou they lost their belongings. We request everyone to make dua for the protection of one and all and our places of worship. Ameen.
