આગામી આવતા બકરી ઈદ ના તહેવારને અનુલક્ષીને આજરોજ ભરૂચ તાલુકાના ટંકારીઆ ગામે ભરૂચના ડી.વાય.એસ.પી. વાઘેલા સાહેબની અધ્યક્ષતામાં શાંતિ સમિતિની બેઠક યોજવામાં આવી હતી. જેમાં ડી.વાય.એસ.પી. સાહેબે શાંતિ પૂર્વક ઈદ નો તહેવાર મનાવવાની હાકલ કરી હતી. આ બેઠકમાં પાલેજ ના પી. આઈ. જે. જે. પટેલ સાહેબ તથા પાલેજ પોલીસ હાજર રહી હતી. તદુપરાંત ગામના સરપંચ આરીફ પટેલ , ઘોડી ગામના સરપંચ તથા ડેપ્યુટી સરપંચ ઉસ્માન લાલન તથા તાલુકા સદસ્ય અબ્દુલ્લાહ ટેલર તથા પંચાયત ના સદસ્યો અને ગ્રામ જનો મોટી સંખ્યામાં હાજર રહ્યા હતા.

Since yesterday, heavy to very heavy rain has blanketed Tankaria and surroundings. More rain is in forecast for another 48hrs. Because of uninterrupted rain for past 24 hrs and no exit points left, water has started to accumulate in Tankaria Padar, Mota Padar pond and Sitpon canal. At the time of this article, we also have reports of property damages in Tankaria also. The house of one of Our Tankarvi brother Mubarak Bhai Undarda is badly damaged and has fallen apart. Amongst farmers, there is a heightened worry of crop damage. We request all of our My Tankaria global family members to make dua for the safety of our brothers and sisters back home.

Wedding ceremony of Nasrin Nazir Master Rangooni (grand daughter /nawasi of Aziz Tankarvi) with Ikram was held at The Grand Banquet in Blackburn, UK. On behalf of My Tankaria, many congratulations to newly wed couple. Many thanks to Faruk Ughradar for sharing pictures with us.

Uninterrupted rain for last 5 days have caused chaos in Tankaria and surrounding. From Tankaria Padar to Baba Rustam Shrine to Sitpon road all under water and Transportation has near stalled. Shopping complex in Tankaria Padar is also submerged in water. At the time of this article, rain is still pouring in area…

Our Gujarati community migrated to Canada more than 2 decades ago. While community grew at steady pace in first decade, a huge spike in migration occurred in last decade with hundreds of students and highly skilled migrants moved to Canada with majority of them choosing Toronto as their new home.

Taking in consideration of current trend and the need of the future generations, our Gujarati Canadians have initated “Council of Canadian Gujaratis” with wide range of goals but primary emphasis on education to ensure every talent within community has suppport (including financial) and framework in place to reach their full potential. This unique initiative will not only benefit individuals but will work in favor of wider benefits to community in Canada.

Munaf Saheb Abhli of Tankaria who teaches at Sudi school in Amod Taluka has been recognized at Gujarat state level for his and his school’s work on environmental science. We are very proud of Munaf Saheb’s achievement and we hope that his work continues to achieve more applause and more students can benefit from his knowledge and skills.

Munisah Kabir, daughter of Azazbhai Kabir of UK, (originally from Tankaria), scored 1st in Psychology through her hard work and perseverance. Many congratulations to Munisah and her family. May Allah SWT grant her more success so that community can benefit from her knowledge and skills.

Shaikh-ul-Islam Trust of Tankaria held tree planting event in Tankaria. The event was attended by large number of community members as well as local leaders.

Suleman Saheb Kamboliwala passed away in Bharuch, India this morning. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhe Rajeun. Suleman Saheb dedicated most part of his life for the improvement of education within our community. Suleman Saheb was one of the founding members of Progressive Muslim Education Trust (PMET), and was actively involved in day to day operation of PMET, Rander. He also served as secretary of Munshi Organization in Bharuch.

Suleman Saheb was very well respected by thousands but specially by his students who are all over the world. His students will always remember him for his dedication and emphasis on disciplined approach toward education and student life. He would take personal interest in every students’ progress and share with them his words of wisdom to ensure each and every student attains his maximum potential. He will always be remembered for his smile, relentless efforts for community and unmatched dedication. May Allah SWT give this individual, who dedicated his life for community, the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. Ameen.
