Anjuman Cricket Club who won the prestigious United Cricket Tournament beating Chicago Blackhawks in August was recognized by local newspaer. It is to be noted that almost all but few players of Anjuman Cricket Club are from Gujarat and majority from Bharuch Area villages. Many congratulations to Anjuman CC and we wish them success in upcoming years as well.

Similar cricket tournament is also under way in chicago with final to be played tomorrow Oct 6th. The organization is working hard to promote beautiful game of cricket with the purpose to engage and help our youth develop sportsman spirit, harmony, tolerance and achieving goal with team work. 

Wedding ceremony of Afshan Hirawala, daughter of  Bashir Umarji Hirawala was held in Toronto,  Canada.  Janaab Ismail Hirawala from Mumbai, India also attended the program.  Many congrats to newly wed couple and Hirawala Family.

Friends BBQ party was held in Preston,  UK by Abdul Razzaq Bariwala, Alisaheb Deg and Ilyasbhai Deg and was attended by friends.

Dilawar Bhai Khoda of Tankaria residing in London,  UK has won prestigious Bowling Championship at Plashet Bowling Club in London.  He was awarded with Trophy by none other than Shadow Treasury Minister MP Whois at an event fillwd with friends and family.

Meet and Greet”  with new 17th district Police Commander was organized by Alderman Margaret Laurino. The progran was to welcome new Police Commander to community and get to know him, give Police Commander an opportunities to know the community,  his plan for the safety and betterment of community and involvement of community to support his initiative to strengthen policing activities. 17th district of City of Chicago is a very diverse community with large population of ethnic communities including big Vohra community.

The program was attended by large number of community members,  chamber of Commerce, representative s from Congressman Quigley office, Park District officials and many profit and non-profit organization.

An exciting game beteeen International Cricketers XI and Leicester Lion was played yesterday at in Leicester, England. Leicester Lions won the game with our very own Zuber Gujiys taking 3 wickets. Well done Zuber, keep it up!
