First Session:

5:00 – Welcome & Registration.
5:15 – The Mayor of Preston City, Cllr. Margaret McManus, arrives.
5:16 – Light Refreshments served.
5:30 – Welcome to the Right Worshipful Mayor of Preston City, Cllr. Margaret McManus, to Chair the Session. Distinguished guests invited to the stage by the host Chair, Mahmud Amirat.
5:40 – Prayer.
5:45 – Mayor invites Imtiaz Patel to speak on ‘Community Cohesion’.
5:55 – Mayor invites poet and journalist, Siraj Patel, to speak on ‘Gujarati-English and Gujarati-Urdu Poetry is a source of inspiration to all people of the world’.
6:05 – Mayor invites Yashmin Shakir to recite poetry.
6:07 – Mayor invites Rukaiya Sidat to recite poetry.
6:09 – Mayor invites Alice Thornhill.
6:10 – Mrs Z M Amirat presents a bouquet of flowers to the Mayor.
6:15 – Mayor’s comments, thanks and closes the session.

Second Session (Gujarati and Urdu poetry):

6:20 – Host Chair, Mahmud Amirat, and Secretary, Ibrahim Member, comments and invitations to the stage.
6:30 – Master of Ceremony, Adam Tankarvi, poets and distinguished guests invited to the stage by the Chair of the Session, Mohammed Munshi.
