Our History
History of Tankaria Jam-e- Mosque;
Town Mustufabaad's Jam-e-masjid was built during the ruling of King Qutub Abdul Muzaffar
Ahmadshah Sultan. This Mosque was built under the supervision of the king's young
representative, Sayyed Ataullah, on 9th Rabiul Awwal Hijri 857. It means..... this mosque is
about 571 years old and as per some elders' knowledge...the minar's basic construction is
about 35 to 45 feet deep into earth (shown above). This mosque was reconstructed in 1977 and
it's a really huge mosque. It can accommodate approx. 5000 people at a time.
