Election Analysis

One local paper has done really good analysis of the Bharuch LokSabha seat. According to them, there are 22% Muslim
voters & 24% S.T. voters. With the inclusion of Kakak Singh Mangrola as a candidate of the SamajSeva Party, this election
has become more competitive. It could be anyone's election. Here is an analysis from the local news paper.

Sad News from Tankaria

Haziyani Aemenaben Yusuf Ganja-Sanchawala (Mother of Ibrahimbhai Ganja) passed away in Tankaria. Inna lillahe
wainna ilayhe rajeun. Her namaz-e-janaja will be held at Hashamshah grave yard after Isha prayer.

Sad News from Preston, England

Musa Mohammed Bhuta, past away in Preston, England on 30th March, 2009. It is an enormous loss to family.
Arif Munshi, his nephew was there. He sent us this condolence message & asks everyone to make dua
for the deceased.

"Salam, I am Iqbal Bhuta's cousin, the nawasa of Ismail Umarji Bhuta. I live in Preston UK. I was present at
the time of the ghusal and burial of Musa Mohammed Bhuta (my mama). His face was full of noor and he also had
a smile on his face. A great loss and I will miss him very much. May allah almighty enlighten his grave and give subran
jameel to all his loved ones. There were so many people at his funeral it was an amazing sight. Please pray for all
deceased. Wassalam Arif Munshi"

Eid-e-Milad Nabi (SAW) was celebrated in Tankaria today on 10th March, 2008. The day was filled with programmes.
In the morning, Baal Mubarak (hairs of Prophet Mohammed SAW) was displayed in the Mosque for the men.
Julus was carried out from several corners of Tankaria to the Jame mosque. Then there was Quran recitation & Naat
singing in the Mosques. Look at the pictures.

Events in Past week: Fast Forward

Events In the past week, Tankarvis celebrated Republican Day of India, then there was a cricket finals at MCG & BCG & a
big snow storm in Canada. Because of the technical difficulty we had, we coul not cover all those events, here is a fast

New Road project which will extend from Rakhda street to Bangla stand has been approved from the Grant of the District
Panchayat Member Maqbul Abhli. Appro. INR 1,75000 was granted by the state gove. of Gujarat.  President of Taluka
Panchayat Mr. Gulam Master inaugurated road construction from Bangla stand to Rakhda street.

On the 10th Muharram various programs were held in Tankaria. Special Dua, Prayer and Fateha Khwani organized at the
Jam-e-Masjid Tankaria in the morning from 8am to 10am.Afterward, Ghodiwala Young Commitee have organized a Niyaj
programme at the shrine of Peer-Mohyuddin (R.A.) after Asr Prayer.

Yesterday, after Isha prayer Jashn-e-dastarbandhi programme was held in Mota Paadar by Darul ulum Ashrafiyya
Mustufaiya Tankaria. Hazrat Allama Hashmimiya Kichhochhvi, Maulana Nuranimiya, Maulana Hashan Ashkarimiya and
Kamruddin Pirjada saab were present in this programme. Under the cold waves thousands of Brothers and sisters  heard
the Ruhani Lacture from  Bulbul-e-Tankaria Hafej Gulrej Ashrafi Kanunga recited a beautiful Naat Sharif.

Vegetable sellers (Lariwala & Pathariwala) in Tankaria went on to strike to show their anger against tax hike. Gam
Panchayat of Tankaria decided to charge Rs. 10 per vendor per day. Vendors of Tankaria refused to pay that tax which
now have ended in indefinate strike for selling food & vegetables. We wish for the positive outcome from this situation.

Tankarvis in Midwest USA, Eastern USA & Canada had one of the worst snow storm in decade. Sarfaraj Degmaster & Iqbal
Bhutawala from Canada has reported that the temperature was -10C and storm trippled the no of accidents in parts of city
of Toronto. Shakil Bha from New York has reported the same bad weather experience in USA.  Schools were closed and
people were advised to stay in home.  The day after storm, temperature is still below zero & driving conditions are really
bad.

Mr. Ahmed Bhai Madhi, social worker & former president of Patel Musafirkhana, Bharuch, passed away in Tankaria yesterday
after short-term illness. INNA LILLAHE WAINNA ILAYHE RAJEUN. May Allah Almighty rest him in peace & grant him a place in
Jannat-ul-Firdaus. Ameen.

1. Two separate incidences of burglary in Tankaria

Two separate incidences involving burglary were reported today in Tankaria.  The 1st house that came under thieves'
attack was of Yasmin Daud Chati in Babaria Colony on Tankaria-Sitpon road. Burglars stole the items like gold, cash &
others valuables worth Rs.150,000.  Then the 2nd victim was Gulam Ahmed Bhuta (Kanaiya). His Luna bike was taken off
his compound. Search is going on for the burglars. (See pic 1 & 2)

2. Haji Mohmamed Musa Kodhiya passed away in Tankaria

Haji Mohammed Musa Kodhiya passed away today in Tankaria. Inna Lillahe Vainna Ilayhe Rajiun. His Nam-e-Janazah was
held after Zuhr Namaz. May Allah Almighty rest him in peace and grant him a best place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus.

3. Ahsraf Shah Baba's Sandal

Sandal Sharif of Ashraf Shah Baba was held at Ashraf Shahs' Dargah in Nana Padar after Asr prayer. Patanwala Baba led
the ceremony. Various programmes like Quran Sharif & Naat Sharif were also held. (See pic 3 & 4)

A horrible accident near Tankaria- Sitpon Road

A young boy, name Zunaid, from Tankaria (originally from Bala Sinor) got into an accident on Tankaria -Sitpon Road.
The accident happened near Pir Popa Dargah. He was declared dead after an accident.  Inna Lillahe wainna ilayhe
rajeun. He dashed into a Buffalo-Cart (Gadu). Co-traveling with him was Adamsaheb Dadhimunda who was also seriously
injured and has been admitted in to a hospital in Bharuch. Zunaid was a brilliant student of Munshi Memorial School,
Bharuch.

1. Small Accident in Mota Padar

A minor accident happened in Tankaria Mota Padar, involving 2 jeeps, 1 bus & a lorry. The accident occurred around Isha
time. The lorry driver could not control the truck & bumped into the bus from the back which ultimately hit 2 jeeps parked in
front of it. Fortunately all three vehicles were empty and parked. No injuries or casualty reported.

Cricket News From Tankaria

A cricket Tournament has been started at Mota Paadar Ground (MCG). Over the next four to 5 weeks teams from Bharuch,
Surat & Baroda district will take part into this competition. This is the tournament which has made Salim Vairagi, Munaf Patel
& others stars. Here, on this ground their career started. Now Munaf is in national side while Salim is in Ranji team. We
expect more cricketers to come out from this tournament. All the best.

Cricket News From South Africa

A cricket match played between Valencia Cricket Club and Impala Cricket Club at Lowveld High Cricket ground in
Nelspruit, South Africa yesterday. Impala won the toss and batted first, made 300 runs in 40 Overs. Valencia did well and
made 300 runs in 37 Overs and won the match. From Valencia side Mr.Afzal Patel who belongs to our great Tankaria
made 107 runs with 9 huge sixes. Wooooooooooow Afzal we are proud on you, Please carry on and on....................
