Monday, 21st April 2008:  League Cricket Season starts in midwest USA

America is not a country where you expect to hear the word "cricket."   But, you would be surprised
to see the number of teams playing & competing for the trophy. Teams from midwestern states
of USA (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio & Wisconsin) will compete in the midwestern league starting in the
1st week of May. There are three divisions: Division 1 (higher level) , Division 2 (medium level)
and Division 3 (lower level & new teams).  Many youth from our community take part in this
prestigious league.  Our major teams include Chicago AAA (champion Division-1, 2006),
Chicago Fire, Chicago Lucky, and Chicago Rogers Park.

(proposed 2016 Olympic venue). Chicago AAA made 245/9 (35 overs). Chicago Fire responded
well initially, but then crumbled to145/9 (35 overs) and lost the game.
