:Eid-e-Milad Nabi (SAW) in Tankaria:
Eid-e-Milad was celebrated in Tankaria yesterday. The programme started out with Naat & Quran recitation in morning at
4am. Then after Fazr, Zulus was carried out. The morning of any festival is always very busy in Tankaria. Then, after
Zulus, everyone flocked into the Masjid to get the look at the Prophet Muhammed's (SAW) Hair Mubarak. This time, there
were few new historical items were there to see. Those included the coins from the time of one of the Khalifah of
Muhammed (SAW). Also, the piece of cloth from the Kaaba in Makka & from the Roza Mubarak in Medina.

:Farewell Ceremony of 10th & 12th Grade Students:
"Brave...What an Inspiration", those words come out when you see this girl from Tankaria High School. Name: Imrana
Diwan, height: 3 ft, no fingers on hands or feet. But, this is the girl who is about to complete 12th standard at our Tankaria
High School. What an accomplishment & what a courage!!!! This brave girl, Imrana Diwan was honored by Tankaria High
School Staff at the farewell function for 10th & 12th students. Guests which included Yakub Baji Bhai Bhutawala, Ismail
Saheb Kunawala & Yunus Bhai Munshi appreciated her determination & wished for the best future of her & all students.
She got so much love & support from Tankaria high school staff that she could not stop her tears falling. We all should
wish for the success of this girl & all our students.

:Cricket Final in Tankaria:
Today Cricket final match was played between Bariwala Eleven, Tankaria and Body line Eleven, Ankleshwar at Bariwala
Sports Club ground. Bariwala Eleven won the match. Kamran Shaikh was the key batsman and bowler to win this match.
Thanks to both team for the great entertainment they provided to the audience & congratulations to winner.

:Beginning of the Season of Harvesting:
It's the beginning of summer in Tankaria & it is harvesting time. The farmers in Tankaria & around villages are getting ready
to get the fruits for the hard work they have done for the past eight months. The farms are green with the grown plants, ripe
& mature fruits. It is time to cut those fruits, bring it in open land, process them to final product & sell it.
This time of the year is the most busiest time in the lives of any farmers. And, as we all know as we are all at some extent
farmers, this time of the year brings out lot of memories. Some of us been to farms when we were kids, some of us helped
out our father or grandfather or relatives in the farms, some of us still owns the land & give someone else to harvest it. But
for me & for most of us lot of good lot memories are attached with this season. When the fruits are all mature,we
used to go to farm with our grandfathers to the farm & pick baby green bean & eat it while there. We would bring some
back home to make a dinner at night. We all have eaten fresh & hot "pok" with "sevo" in summer. Then, we would go to
school & wonder around the "Khadu" & look at how old "Bapdada style of harvesting" very curiously. Then, there comes
"Khajuri" from 'Threser" & then itchyness. That hurts, but after all these years, all those days are like a good dream
past by so fast.
I thank to Allah (SWT) for letting me experience & enjoy those days. Look at the pictures.

:News from PMET, Rander:
As we have mentioned earlier, our Muslim institutes PMET, Rander & BPWS, Mumbai are honoring students every
year from all parts of Gujarat who achieved an excellence in their fields. This year, the programme was held in
Rander, Surat under the presidency of Aziz Tankarvi. INR 14 lakh (1.4 million INR) was rewarded to students which
included from 11th Science to all the way MBBS, BDS, MS, MBA, M & B. Pharma, BSC, PTC. They tried to cover all
the educational streams. The amount given out was from INR 11,000 to 500 per person.We should be proud to have
these kind of institutes in our society which promote education & encourage our students to go further. Prophet
Muhammed (SAW) always emphasized on getting skills. The one of the surah in quran is on "Kalam i.e. Pen".

One of our Tankarvi, Munaf Bhaniya, younger brother of Zakir Bhaniya is making shine in the New Zealand. His
work of art is recognised amongst the New Zelanders. He was a pearl hidden & now his work has been
recognised by this university. "Munaf, we are all proud of you & congratulate you on behalf of all Tankarvis"

:Update from Progressive Muslim Education Truest, Rander:
Progressive Muslim Education Trust (PMET), Rander & Bombay Patel Welfare Society, two organization in
Bharuch area is around for more than decade. It has been encouraging Muslim students to get higher
achievements in their fields by honouring them. Every year, these organizations reward the excellence in
respected field with the award & some gift. To date, they have recognised hundreds of Muslim kids from
high school to post graduate level.
This year also, the programme to honor the students was organised in Surat. Brother Jabir Chokshi has
sent us the details of that programme which you can read it here.

News from Tankaria & Abroad:
A new drainage project has been approved for Tankaria. The project will take rain & dirty water around the Boys School
near Pawadiya's house in Nana Padar & water from Mota Bazaar to big c#@*%! near Bharuch-Palej road. The cost of
project is estimated at more than INR 200000.
This is a very good news for Tankaria & specially Boy's school because right now there is no proper sewage system
around Boys School. The water gets so dirty & smelly during the months of monsoon & summer. It affects the health of
our kids. Unmoved water is a safety issue too as kids playground is right next to it but with the development of new
project, the smelly & dirty water will be covered & will be transported out of the area.
However, this is affecting the hundreds of telephone lines in Tankaria village so if you are calling your relatives & family &
can not get in touch with them on land line, call on cell phone. It may take good few days to fix the telephone lines.
News from US/Canada:
Chicago city in the state of Illinois felt an earthquake last night. It was recorded of 3.8 magnitude on a scale & was also
felt as far as in the State of Ohio & State of Missouri. There has been no damage so far & no injuries reported. Our
Tankarvis in Chicago are reporting "everything okay".
In another news, New Jersey & New York is under the snow blizzard. There has been 2 feet of snow so far in the New York
City & Jersey City. All schools, banks, businesses & offices are closed for the day. Govt has urged the citizens to stay in
house.

Heart Health Detection Camp was organised today in Tankaria by Anjuman & Bankers Association. The programme was

:New Addition in the services of Anjuman:
Anjuman of Tankaria is an organisation who started out with the public clinic at no to low cost when we did not
have good Govt. Clinic. It is taking for of the health of Tankavis & people from around villages for so many years.
Every year, this institute try to improve their services with new initiative & new services.
The Heart Health Detection Camp on January 10 was one of them.
Now, Anjuman has added new facility to the clinic. This time it is Dentist Chair. Tankaria do not have a proper Dental
Facility. And to solve this problem, Anjuman has got brand new Dentist chair. It cost hundred of thousand for this chair. It
is specially designed to check & solve the teeth problem. Insha Allah, Tankarvis will take advantage of this new facility.
